“Nate Syver-Brunt deserves the Player of the Match award,” said Wong. She managed the innings. She batted well and helped us put up a big score. So she probably deserved the award.”

Speaking further, she said, “It was a great competition. The past few weeks have been fantastic. The hard work in the gym and on the field has paid off and we are enjoying it as well.” Speaking about her hat-trick, Wong said, “I was just trying to hit the stumps. Sophie Ecclestone played well last time. I didn’t want to put the ball in her belt. Sophie praised me after the elimination. We are good friends and she is a good player. When you get to know each other, you get more excited. You are not coming to be a semifinalist in the tournament. You come to compete and win.”
