Remembering the coach’s advice
Ashwin recalled his former coach WV Raman’s advice to make his point. He said, “WV Raman used to say to me, Hello sir, don’t challenge the situation. Can you go to the beach and swim like you swim in a swimming pool? You can’t do that. So you have to respect the pitch and play accordingly. If you respect, the pitch will respect you.”
