Why is Shardul not bowling for KKR even when he is fit? An important revelation made by himself

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has had a mixed performance in IPL 2023. Although their challenge in the tournament is not over yet, they will need to win all the remaining three matches. In such a situation, the main all-rounder of the team Shardul Thakur is not seen bowling. He himself explained why we don’t do bowlers when the team needs some part.

For IPL 2023, KKR traded him from Delhi Capitals for a huge amount. However, his performance this season has not been as impressive. Except for one match against RCB, he could not show his maximum. Since he is not even bowling now, many eyebrows have been raised. Speaking about this in an interview, he said,

“I had a minor injury. So I couldn’t play some matches. I was not fit to bowl when I came back. Now if I am given the ball, I will definitely do well for the team.”

He further said that since KKR has more all-rounders in the team, options are open for the captain.

Shardul has scored 109 runs in 9 matches this season. It also includes a half-century. He has also managed to get four wickets

Shardul has been advised to stop bowling for some time to stay fit for the World Test Championship final. Such news had come to light. Shardul is the only fast bowling all-rounder in the Indian team selected for the World Test Championship final. So it can be included in 11 more.
