WI Team Announced: West Indies to face India in Test series with ‘these’ 18 players

The Indian team’s West Indies tour starts from July 12. A month before this tour, India had announced the Test and ODI squads. The West Indies selection committee has announced an 18-member squad for the two Test matches against India on Thursday (June 29). In fact, the series will start from July 12 with the first Test match. Also, the second match will be played on July 20. Both the teams will begin the third season of the World Test Championship. Interestingly, after the end of the Test series, both the teams will also play a series of 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is.

The host team will begin preparations from the 30th before the start of the West Indies vs India Test match. Preparations for the Test series will be held at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. Also, the team will take off on July 9 for the first Test to be played in Dominica. The team’s regular captain, Kraigg Brathwaite, will be seen leading his team in this series.

In fact, the West Indies team is currently playing the ODI World Cup 2023 qualifiers in Zimbabwe. There are many players in this team who can participate in the Test series against India. However, no information about them has come out from the board yet. Jason Holder, Alzari Joseph and Kyle Meyers are expected to join the Test squad against India.

The first match of the West Indies vs India Test series will be played in Dominica, while the second match will be played at Queens Park in Trinidad.
