The next season of Indian Premier League i.e. IPL which is the biggest T20 league in the world is just four days away. In this new season, the Mumbai Indians team will try to make up for the failure of the previous two seasons. Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in IPL history, are expected to be led by two players this time.

Rohit Sharma has been leading Mumbai Indians, who have won five IPL titles since 2013. Mumbai won all five titles under his leadership. However, the chances of Rohit leading Mumbai through the entire season in IPL 2023 are slim. According to a leading news agency,

“In the next IPL, Rohit Sharma may sit on the bench for some matches. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team under his leadership. The decision is said to have been taken after discussions with the BCCI.”

A few days ago, BCCI had discussed with all the franchises about the upcoming IPL. In this, some decisions have been taken regarding the workload management of the players. It is reported that some of the key players currently playing in the Indian team have been banned from playing all the matches in the IPL. Although Suryakumar Yadav does not have much leadership experience, he is likely to be given the responsibility as he is a key member of the team.
