He became the third bowler after Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh to achieve this feat. Ashwin has 702 Test wickets to his name. He has 479 wickets to his name in Tests. Interestingly, he also completed a quintet of wickets in this match. So this was his 33rd time to take 5 wickets in a Test innings. In this regard, he has surpassed England’s legendary James Anderson. He has done this feat 32 times.
