World champion England dance! A weak Bangladesh won the T20 series with the second match in a row
The England team is currently on a tour of Bangladesh. The three-match T20 series between the two teams was clinched by the hosts Bangladesh on Sunday (March 12). With one match remaining in the series, Bangladesh have beaten World Cup winners England. After this defeat, questions are being raised about the England team everywhere. Bangladesh won the second match of the series by 4 wickets.
England toured Bangladesh to play a three-match ODI and three-match T20I series. The visiting team defeated the hosts Bangladesh in the ODI series, but in the T20I series, England looked desperate. Bangladesh won the first and second match of the series and took a 2-0 lead in the series. Mehidy Hasan Miraz performed best for the team while playing under the leadership of captain Shakib Al Hasan. Mehdi Hasan’s performance made Bangladesh’s victory easy. Bangladesh were set a target of 118 runs for victory, which they achieved in 18.5 overs for 6/6.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and invited the visiting team to bat first. Captain Shakib’s decision was right. As many as eight players of Bangladesh bowled in this match. As a result, none of England’s batsmen could make a big innings. England were bowled out for just 117 runs as not a single batsman made a half-century or a satisfactory performance. Mehdi Hasan took England’s highest number of wickets i.e. four. Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Hasan Mehmood took one wicket each. For England, opener Phil Salt scored 25, while middle-order Ben Duckett scored 28 runs.
After Bangladesh came into bat to chase the target, openers Liton Das and Ronnie Talukdar lost wickets at 9 each. Nazmul Hussain Shanto, who came at number three, scored the highest 46 runs. Like Bangladesh, what kind of bowling was done by England. Fast bowler Jofra Archer took three wickets for just 13 runs in 4 overs. Sam Karan, Moeen Ali and Rihan Ahmed claimed one wicket each.
