WTC final in colorful condition, Team India 296 all out, Australia lead by 173 runs

The WTC final is between India and Australia. After the end of the first innings, the Australian team is leading by 173 runs. Both the teams are trying to win the title of World Test Championship 2021-23. The Indian team was bowled out in the second session of the third day in the final in London.

India won the toss and invited Australia to bat first. Batting first, Australia scored 469 runs in 121.3 overs. In reply, it was expected that the Indian batsmen would also achieve this target by showing a restrained game. The play of Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur was crucial. But the main batsmen of the team failed completely. However, the match seems to have come to a head now.

On the third day of the match, India started with 151 for 5. Ajinkya Rahane and KS Bharath were the two on the pitch. Rahane 29*, Bharat 5* started playing ahead. Rahane played an important innings of 89 runs. But Farat could not score a single run on the second day. Earlier, Rahane was also well supported by Ravindra Jadeja (48) before the end of the first day’s play. Shardul Thakur (51) was also able to complete his half-century with Rahane’s support on the second day.

Although three batsmen, Rahane, Jadeja and Shardul were able to make important contributions, the top four batsmen were quite disappointing. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who opened in an important match like the WTC final, returned to the tent with 15 and 13 runs respectively. Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli at number three scored 14 runs each respectively. Like the Australian batsmen, the bowlers were in great form in the first innings. Captain Pat Cummins took the most wickets with three wickets. Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and Cameron Green took two wickets each. Nathan Ellis also got a wicket off spin.
