WTC Final: ‘Information that Indian team will lose’, former West Indies fast bowler

Australia beat India by 209 runs in the ICC World Test Championship final. In this final match, Indian team’s performance was very poor and they had to face defeat. So, the Indian team has faced criticism due to poor performance. The team last won the ICC trophy in 2013. Many expected that the Indian team would surely etch their name on the trophy in the final match of the 2023 World Test Championship, but that did not happen. Many are surprised to see that the team has match-winning players but still fails to win.

Recently, former West Indies fast bowler Andy Roberts also criticized the Indian team’s performance. According to Andy Roberts, the Indian team is too arrogant and overconfident. So their performance is deteriorating day by day.

Andy Roberts told Mid-Day, “Indian cricket is slowly growing in arrogance. For this reason, India thought of taking the rest of the teams lightly. They should decide whether to play test cricket or limited overs cricket. I want the Indian team to show their batting skills.”

Apart from Ajinkya Rahane, no other player has batted tremendously in the final. Shubman Gill was dismissed after playing a very poor shot. In the first innings, Virat Kohli was dismissed on a good ball. India have some good players and have done well but their batting and bowling has been very poor away from home. The former fast bowler added, “I had no hope from them. I knew the team would collapse soon. The Indian team batted very poorly in both the innings.”
