Rajasthan Royals team won the 56th match of IPL 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders by 9 wickets on the strength of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 98 runs. With this win, Rajasthan got their sixth win of the season and finished third in the points table. During this match, Jaiswal scored the fastest fifty in IPL history in just 13 balls. Earlier, it rained runs against KKR captain Nitish Rana in the first over. Rana has given a big reaction about the same after the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal missed his century by 2 runs. He scored an unbeaten 98 off 47 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 12 fours. Captain Sanju Samson meanwhile scored an unbeaten 48 off 29 balls with the help of 2 fours and 5 sixes.

In this match, the captain Nitish Rana took a shocking decision. A fast bowler always comes to the field to bowl the first over of the innings. However, this time spin bowler Rana himself came. This time, Jaiswal scored 26 runs on his bowling. It became the second most expensive over in IPL history. After losing the match, Rana explained the reason behind this.

After the crushing defeat, Nitish Rana said, “Yashaswi Jaiswal needs to be applauded. For every cricketer there comes a day when what you want to do, happens. Today was his day. Speaking further, Rana said, “I thought that Jaiswal has been consistently batting well in the tournament. If he is given a bit of a surprise by a part-time bowler, there might be success. The world may say anything about me, but it doesn’t matter to me. It was in our plan, but I guess today was his day. So he started from the first ball.”

With this win, Rajasthan team has reached the third position in the points table with 12 points. The first position is Gujarat Titans with 16 points, while the second position is Chennai Super Kings with 15 points. Additionally, Mumbai Indians are at the fourth position with 12 points.
